‘Skills for Working Together in the Management of Protected Heritage Areas: Planning and Getting Organized’

In December, 2005, Chinook Institute completed development of a training program for Parks Canada officials and gateway community stakeholders. The goal of the training program is to build the skills and knowledge necessary to plan and organize a process for working effectively with others in the management of protected heritage areas. Carole Stark and Felicity Edwards developed a participant manual, curriculum and leader’s guide for the program. Parks Canada delivered a successful program pilot at Point Pelee National Park in January, 2006.
